100% Syrah, 13% abv, de-stemmed, maturing for 14 months: partial in tank and partial in Burgundian small barrels. Dusty, mineral and chalky with black cherry, blackberry, fig, dried dark fruit, slightly gamey with savory herbal note. Didn't open up after an hour in the glass. A masculine, well structured Syrah. Could age for another 5-10 years.

Very Earthy, pepper notes, more fruit forward as it opens up, very rocky, super dry.

2009 vintage nice earthiness buttressed by bright fruit in the background, pepper, and subtle licorice. Drinking well now. Open and consume in 1 hour. Very good.

Popped and sampling over 3 hours. Awkward period over the first 20 minutes, then opened up with muted fruits, cedar, and leather. Drink your 2009 now.

Unfortunately, this bottle was corked. We'll be having another soon to find out what it's supposed to taste like.

All I can say is this wine tastes so much like Brie cheese. I love that it is different and idk like it quite a bit. Also my first Crozes Hermitage
