Welp, got a new favorite region in France.
Not having as much experience in Northern Rhone I was unsure of what to expect; what I didn't expect was to be wowed as much as I am at this.
The nose is stellar. Full of violets and lacquered red fruits and smoky charcuterie, it really sets a high bar for what the wine tastes like. And on that end, it doesn't disappoint. There's a driving force of acid behind the wine along with a core of red fruit, with an earthiness that is welcome and appreciated.
Can't wait to try more from this region!

"SoooOoOoooo much poop!" - me, at a formal tasting. Just on the nose, though. Ripe dark berries & meaty tannin on the palate...hitting the right notes.

In a really lovely place, drinking really smooth right now, tannins settled yet with some meat. A nice surprise.

Amazing! All around balanced gem. At a time like this I wish I could be a sommelier to describe better(with fancy words) this wine. I paired it with Grilled Oregano Marinated Lamb Chops at Park Avenue restaurant in Stanton, CA
