A mirror of its terroir, this Diamond Creek is multi-layered, super packed and multi dimensional. Still tight, it boasts lots of mature red fruit, borderline jammy but melted with a beautiful meaty, savory core. Powerful and intense, this is serious. I would have it with a short-rib and Angus Burger, truffle mayo and smoked provolone.

Yes the style changed with 2004, but this wine is seriously good after almost a decade.

Had a mag of this 2004 a few months ago, finally found a .750 at a reasonable price, just as great as the mag.
Time to hunt for some more

Still fruit driven, luscious and complex, medium high alcohol (for 11 yo), soft tannins, balanced acid.

My favorite from Diamond Creek. The black volcanic soil and southern slope givea this wine a great depth, black pepper on the nose, dark fruits and smooth finish. Could cellar for decades, due to the complex structure.

Extremely earthy when opened, turns bold and fruity after 20 mins. Insanely good wine.
