Vintage 2014 | Merlot dominated, my wife - who loves Merlot - says it is a dinnerwine. Good bouquet with cherries, vanilla, laurel and pencil. A supple taste with rondeur. Distinguished. Very nice drinking, paired with venison ragout and cheeseboard with tomme de Savoie. Diamcorked.

2014 vintage. Whereas the grand vin Château Belgrave typically features a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, this second wine is dominated by Merlot (79%) with the remainder Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium-bodied, with good fruit concentration, freshness and balance with ripe tannins and a good smokey length. A pleasure to drink now, but should age well for a few years. Good value for 17,90 euros. Abv. 13%.
