Apr 11th, 2015Possible wedding wine? Brambly juicy medium bodied red with flavors of resin, pine and anise- pair with Raki? :)
Thanks Olga Rai!

Unique and, frankly, a bit challenging. The stewed fruit characteristics of the bouquet with overt notes of pie filling and raisins are slightly disjointed from the light bodied, dry, almost Sangiovese-like mouthfeel. Lots of cherry, plum skin and forest floor flavors with a decidedly short finish. I don't dislike it; in fact it is probably a very food friendly wine for gatherings. Worth a try but not a staple for me.
