this ’15 Fleurie is just a baby, and it's young taste reminds me exactly (in a good way!) of three favorite childhood candies: cherry jolly ranchers, red vines licorice, and violet pastilles. Beautiful Cru Beaujolais! I must admit a soft spot for any well made Cru Beaujolais...but this was a very nice bottle. On the nose, spicy black pepper, roses and lilacs. In the mouth, brambly red fruits and spices, dried flowers and minerals. Bright acidity, medium-long finish. A textbook example of this wine.

Floral, sappy and mineral on the nose. Delicate and soft, round on the palate with cranberry fruit and a lovely but subtle hint of floral powderiness and perfume. Some dried autumn leaves.

Delicious, ripe berries, nice acid, good tannins for a bojo.

I love the color of this wine. Deep neon purple. Soft tannins and so easy to drink. You could sit on the couch all day with this while watching Jaws or The Martian. @Todd Abrams told me he thought it was great idea and would do the same.
