Boisrenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend

Starting to smell musty and old in the nose. A long way to go in the glass. Dusty fruit, crushed rock, spice in every corner of your mouth.

2012 vintage. Damn, this fine juice! Utterly pure, fig scented aromas holding abundant dark and ripe red berries on the nose, all rushing into a full-bodied palate where spice, Garrigue, toast and vanilla align together into a long and layered finish. Built to last.

Starting to come back out of it's shell. Love it!

Meaty and definitely needs a meal to accompany it. Pepper, incense, and kirsch open it up while tar and lilacs fill in the rest along with blackberries, raspberries, and black currants. Some lavender and stronger cassis are there too. Tannins are grippy but properly balanced with juicy acidity. And it's ready to drink now.

A terrific example of CdP. Rich, big, and forward but tethered, structured and juicy.
