Initial aromas of passion fruit. 76% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Semillon. Grassy and herbal notes. Quite delicate. A guava note on the palate. Only 35% new oak which is totally integrated. So refreshing and balanced. I have previous Delectable notes which were also praiseworthy.

Colour is mid lemon to pale gold. The blend is 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Semillon. Fermentation in barrel, no malolactic. The Savvy Blanc makes its presence felt with aromas of tropical fruits. Barb said Guava and she knows guava from when she was a child. On nose and palate. Also honeysuckle. Still very fresh - the oak has melded perfectly with the fruit. Acid is medium minus; the texture is unctuous. Have the last one in the next year or so.

Mid yellow in colour. An interesting marine type note which became oxidative with time. Notes of citrus and white peach, a little broad. A creamy texture from part oak maturation. 76% Sauvignon Blanc 24% Semillon. Fermented in barrel on lees for 18 months. 35% new barrels.

Not as snappy as usual. Tad sweet? Broad, with lower acidity. Juicy, Melony fruit.

Besides trace elements of barrels this is a sublime wine. Tight, complex with wax and lemon skin. Vibrant & long. Master class in what a great Pessac can be. Bravo

Classic attributes of Sauvignon blanc but with lovely roundness & floral quality from semillon & oak. Delicious!!

Fresh and classic, a nice wine that still needs time to bring it higher

2012 Blanc vintage. Beautiful balance. Patience is key to truly embracing Domaine de Chevalier Blanc.

Not showing much, closed up tight and seemingly in a dumb phase. Mostly mineral, with hints of yellow fruit. Throwing it in a decanter for a few hours didn't budge it.
