A perfect bottle of ‘09 Charmes from the pristine cellar at Emeril’s, remarkably fresh and seamlessly balanced with both ripeness and definition, a voluminous texture with layered crystalline minerality, citrusy acids and a captivating almond-pastry cream bouquet. Couldn’t have shown any better. Just look at that color!

Not quite the explosive wine as the 2009 Genevrieres which Dominique poured me last April, but this was charming with exactly the richness that I expect and want from and ‘09. Pretty and open for business.
