Lafon crushed the vintage and 2011 Charmes is superb tonight, floral, elegant and detailed, wafting from the glass with layered aromatics of yellow orchard fruit, fresh lilies, hazelnuts and pastry cream. The palate is vibrant and textured with killer volume, ripping citrusy acids and a long stony mineral inflicted finale. While still young of course, 2011 Charmes is in a fantastic spot with another 20 years easy.

Just a beautiful bottle. It sang on the palette and I just wish there was more to go around.

Last Friday was our normal 4th Friday happy hour at the storage facility, but since this month had 5 Fridays, why not keep the party going?!

Why drink Napa Chardonnay when you can have wine like this?! Wow. Mersault and white burgundy (specifically Cote de Beaune) are without a doubt my favorite whites in the entire world. The acidity, and full Chardonnay profile here were so pure...no oak! Gorgeous.

Lovely, with some buttery overtones. Rich mouth feel. Delicate nose. Long finish

Mirroring my previous comments in regards to the Roulot, these are solid wines, but I think the bar has definitely been raised by a few key producers.

A beautiful wine that I have had many times that seems to have gotten better since my last btl. Richness, purity with impeccable balance.
