Meursault-Genevrières 1er Cru Chardonnay

When Lafon is on they’re so damn good and 2011 Genevrieres is superb, with notable density and concentration for the vintage, and perfectly developed for age 13, with a seamless balance of richness and elegance. It’s captivatingly aromatic with defined fruit, pastry cream and toasted macadamias layered in stony minerality, and the palate is so elegant and satiny with balanced acidity and a long, silky finale. Just gorgeous.

Totally on the fence on this one. Musky but not corked.

Just a baby at this stage but the concentration of this wine leads me to believe that it will be even better in a few years.

Junipers now Chardonnay vines. Young and less expressive than it will be. Love these wines and this vineyard and village!

Silky mouthfeel and very elegant but was expecting a bit more focus. Almost too balanced if that is a thing...
