Tasted blind. Light gold color, youthful and heavy in the glass. Notes of citrus, white clay, sea shells, wet river stone, kiwi and some honey. High pitched. Massive fruit and structure. This powered along all night and never slowed down. Easy to guess as the 90 Raveneau Clos as we've had this many times. A debate ensued about what is a perfect white burgundy and where this sits... it would be really hard to get better than this, IMO. Spectacular.

Canary gold color, looks young. Memorable nose with notes of lemon, honeysuckle, white acacia blossoms, and white clay with that Kimmeridgian characteristic that says Chablis. With more air, you also get sea shells and ocean breeze, and the telltale Raveneau honey comes out. Coats the mouth... has a huge richness matched against robust structure. This becomes more sweet and exotic as the evening progresses. Of all the bottles tonight, this was gone first. As good as Chablis can get. (Bday 4 of 13)

So fresh and clean, bright, tense and perhaps just a touch of botrytis? Very dense flavors. Young

Lt gold color. Heavy in the glass. HUGE nose of stone, honey, marzipan, and soil. Unbelievable in the mouth. Has it all going for it. Just entering a very long drinking window I think. Maybe a top 2 or 3 white burg wine of all time for me.

This had a recalcitrant cork which preferred to stay in the bottle, though fill level was mid-neck. First pour shows this is a little past it, though it does show great acidity and barely sweetish fruit, finish is medium-long, should have been better, but the chance I’ve taken holding the last of my Raveneau Chablis purchases from the 1980s.
