Starts off reduced and funky with loads of tropical fruit under the surface. Mango, papaya, ripe tangelo, spice, herbs and bitter kumquats. So complex. Reduction takes 45 minutes to blow off completely. Just a decadent nose. After some air some wild flowers and kiwi. So good. Palate has terrific energy and ripeness with the classic Berlioz balance. Exceptional purity and depth. Terrific inner mouth aromas. Exceptional concentration and zesty citrusy and tropical fruits on the exceptionally long finish. Wow. This is truly great. Really opens up brilliantly over 45 minutes. Superb structure and sap. What mouthfeel. Round yet has elegant corners as well. What a finish. As great as the 16. Stunning.

Oct 2nd, 2023Lovely and further evolved over the year since last tried. Nose of baked bread, cinnamon bun. Palate is mineral, stone fruit, bitter almond, nice freshness on the front. Great texture & depth. Glycerin finish, just a tad hot.

Jul 9th, 2022Wow. Like a CPB blanc (Beaucastel VV?) with a bit of humor and some mountain air. Grapefruit, wet stone, pine, lemon oil, waxy palate, bitter almond. Need more of this in my life. Beautiful stuff @Lyle Fass
