Once the funk blew off this #vacqueyras was in a great drinking state. Good body. Fine complexity. A well done wine. #domainelesangdescailloux #rhonevalley #southernrhone #ctbucklinwine

Dark garnet with a nose of dark red plum, black cherry(?) and leather. Medium body, dry but pretty smooth with even tannins and light acidity. Very good with lots of diff food- a find!

Probably drinking it too young. But 2014 is not quite ready. Intense fruit without layering. Need to settle down a bit more.

A small producer that's been in the wine business a very long time. 70% Grenache and 20% Syrah balanced out by 5% each or so of Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Spicy, cherry fruity Grenache with milk chocolate mixes with olive tapenade and garrigue, making an excellent complement to aged beef with oxtail reduction.
