Very good and firing strong on typicity, but for some reason I'm not inhaling this as I have other vintages/cuvées from this producer. Will have to try again. Could be bottle variation, could be mood/context, could be the wine. This is the 2011 st Joseph Syrah.

All the components you would want from Northern Rhone Syrah--pepper, olives, bacon fat, spice, just none of them with any kind of intensity. But knowing the price, this is a good value and worth a shot.
