Les Vireuils Meursault Chardonnay

Lean and bright. Reductive lemon peel. Fabulous.

Bottle #1 was off. Bottle #2 was on, so on. Razor sharp, focused, magnifique. Mind blown.

This is not Chardonnay but it is Meursault and in great form! Kaleidoscopic in aroma and flavor. Fresh, linear, crazy complex and intense yet elegant at the same time, a melange of fresh citrus and apples, with seashell and mineral cut. The vibrancy and energy on this wine is insane but not if your are used to Monsieur #Roulot

Bright lively fresh notes of lemon zest, tangerine, green apple, wet stones and subtly nutty notes. Palate is layered with citrus fruit, pear and incisive mineral aspects. Just hints at maturity with a almond and lactic accents. This is really a fabulous village wine that transmits the character of the vintage.

I am loosely aware that people other than Roulot make Meursault.

Bright fresh fruit tones with crisp apple, citrus zest and a bit of lemon curd. Is restrained on palate with that reductive Roulot edge. Citrus pear and red apple flavors with nice minerality.
