National Rose Day!! I guess that’s a thing. Figured I should open one of my favorite Rosé wines on the planet. Unfortunately, this has become so hard to find in my neck of the woods that it’s nearly unobtainium. I would otherwise drink this all summer long. On the nose, strawberry, melon, blood orange and a little bit of funky cheese. On the palate, brambles, strawberry, citrus. Fabulous body…nearly chewy. Low tannin. Dry. Great acid. Super long…over a minute with minerals for days. A truly special wine that everyone can find a reason to love.

Oh the jubilation of sitting outside on a beautiful day with people in addition to your immediate family and drinking the good stuff. What can be said about one of the world’s perfect rosés that hasn’t been said. Benchmark bright berries and watermelon citrus snap and mouthwatering acidity. Fresh and clean and disappears almost instantly on a warm day. Please sir, may I have some more?

the perfume & musk covers red berries, pit fruits, candied citrus & tropical purées

simultaneously light yet suave ~ delivering a floating layer of fruit w a long focused finish ending in the dustiest of minerals

this is the “prettiest” vintage I’ve ever had

Anchovy pasta calls for Tempier rosé…better bottle than the last. Fruit shines through, terrific structure, medium acid.

Herbs, glycerin, blossoms…rustic & powerful. Heat on the finish. Needs food.

2021/8-9. Bright with lots of sweet berry and melon fruit, and plenty of weight and richness. Quite lively, and frankly a bit young-feeling - some might find that an odd thing to think about a rosé, but I’d like to try it again in a year or two.
