Hitting its peak. Was more flashy a couple of years ago, finding a lovely, soulful groove now.

3 people found it helpfulJul 28th, 2014Firstly, this wine is really too young and would benefit from some time in the cellar. But, if you're not feeling patient, it's still very drinkable. On the second day, the tannins have softened a bit and it offers up a Cornas-like bouquet of ash and campfire smoke, camphor and lavender, as well as steeped blackberries and kirsh. The gamier aspects of this wine are more evident on the palate along with olive tapenade a touch of Garrigue, and a handsome streak of minerality on the finish. Much here to love.

Forest floor, subtle sage, general greenery. Young and caught in its minerality.

Medium to full-bodied, lush, layers of blackberry, blueberry, bozenberry, smoke, pepper, garrigue herbs, and some mineral. Nice now but can cellar 10+ years.
