Ripe and modern, but with enough savoriness to keep it from being cloying, though still fairly tannic so I would be inclined to let it rest a few more years.

With six hours of air in the decanter the wine is superb! Dark notes bearing the signature of Riberera Del Douro but also beautifully balanced with nice secondary and tertiary flavors coming through. It did feel quite dehydrating though. Bottle consumed over three hours after the six hours in the decanter and held up nicely all through the Spanish themed tapas dinner

Drank at Curate on 7/11/16. Pretty high in sweetness, full body. However, don't quite like it. Still prefer the earlier one

Nov 5th, 2016With an hour in the decanter this amazing full bodied second wine has blackberries, leather, earth, brilliant balance and significant length and finish. A slight gap in mid palate is overwhelmed by the strong finish. Superb!

Amazing wine! Fruit, acidity, structure, so juicy. With our Crawfish and Andouille Stew a perfect pair, yummy.

2004 vintage
Still tasting a bit youngish, aged notes starting to emerge but still youthful, vibrant and primary. Vanilla, saddle leather, a Pettit Verdot like quality. Glad I have six more.
