One the nose; floral, sweet fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, plum, black plum, black raspberries & raspberries. Dry, dark soils and dry & fresh red florals. The body is medium. Tannins are dusty, soft and smooth. Black tea, dry stones, crushed dry rocks, cedar wood shavings, dry stems, touch of vanilla, old, dry leather and blue fruits shine as you sip it. This is another tight bottle. It also needs 15 years before it starts to fully reveal itself. The structure, length, balance and acidity are certainly all there for a nicely improved vine in 15 plus years. Photo tour of the estate, Dominus vines, barrel room and of course, the legendary Christian Moueix. He also makes Petrus & Hosanna in Bordeaux. I've been fortunate to have dinner twice with Christian. He is an incredibly nice person and very humble man considering his credentials. First vintage of Dominus 1983. George Yount, for whom Yountville is named, planted some of the first vines on the estate in 1828.

Incredible red fruit vanilla aroma, silky modestly buttery body and slight tannin thickness with grainy fading finish. It’s everything but seemed like something was missing

Tasted on 18/11/19 at Yan’s Dinning. Very strong wine, typical of CabSauv.

Surprisingly soft tannins! Beautiful bottle. Medium body, medium low acidity. Intricate bouquet. Well balanced fruit and earth flavors.

This is a easy drinking wine, pretty mild with respect to tannins and acid. Finish seemed to have a chocolate cherry finish which was totally different than the nice dark blue/black fruits it starts with initially. #dominus #dominusestate #yountville #napavalley #napa

This is a gem, deep purple in color with red and dark fruit. The hints of vanilla came really came across. Smooth as silk and for being so young it wasn’t overly tannic- very surprised.

At K&L tasting. Good classic Napa Cab, but bad QPR. Forgot to get picture but it was ‘14.
