Perhaps the best Spätlese I have ever envountered! This aged beauty was flirtig with perfection. Like melting snow..

Drowning in baby fat. Limitless potential, but don't go anywhere near it for a decade, at least. Very Spatlese ++.

Hands down the best site in Nahe. Sandstone, volcanic debris and then slate. Crystalline. Resonant. Helmut and Cornelius form the dream team.

Way way wayyy too drinkable

Can't help feel that wine at its most profound is ethereal. Aged well crafted off-dry Rieslings often is.

Six bottles drink between 2008 and 2026 with early notes showing a beautiful balance of sweet fruit, acidity and slate minerality. Sadly, bottles opened ‘24 and ‘26 had bad corks and slight oxidation. Rating for early bottles if you’re lucky enough to have some and the corks are intact.

The gold color is consistent with the scintillating richness, sweetness, and freshness, brilliant and very different from a recent more austere 2002 Norheimer Dellchen Spatlese.

Very sweet - almost as sweet as a dessert wine. Dangerous since you can end up downing it. Best complemented by sour food or salty fish. #casamia
