Oberhäuser Leistenberg Kabinett Riesling

Not quite as energetic as I was hoping.

2014 drunk in early 2024. Delicious. Bright and alive with a little honey. Said it before, but it’s unfair to other wines how good Dönnhoff is.

2014. This wine is my jam. Energetic, with great clarity, and so joyful. Off-dry Kabinett that's only 9% alcohol.

The acidity dominates when their this young. Barely ripe pineapple, ripe pear pulp, golden apple, lemon/lime juice, citrus blossoms, white & yellow florals, super fine soft minerality, enamel removing acidity and a nice even lasting finish. Good pair with my spicy Asian lettuce wraps.

Summer drinking with bright acidity and terrific texture

Clear straw. Green apple, lemon zest, and mineral on the nose and palate. Firm, mouth-watering backbone of acidity with a medium short slightly saline finish. Begs for food. Smothered pork chops anyone?

Pear, white flowers/honeysuckle, slate. Good acidity and quite a bit of RS. Begs for a rich, spicy, curry.

Alsl with the difficult 2014 #dönnhoff made a great work. the wines are ester to understand but never to simple. The GG are standing but also the fruity style are great!!

Peach, elderflower, petrol a bit, very nice, inviting nose. The palate is acid driven with a bright fruit all along and some width and matter and grip on the sides. The finish is rather long and fresh with elderflower notes. Very good sip. More of that!
