Ripe and primary in style. Rich pastry oozing with apple, peach, and apricot. Mineral notes developing with air, but not so much in texture. Perhaps lacking tension, but otherwise seamless and great length of finish.

Solid Riesling, straightforward, well-made, delicious, but uninteresting. Perfectly balanced, clean and crisp, and nice acidity in the finish. Perfect with my Szechuan food.

2011, Dr. Loosen, Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Spatlese Riesling. Great wine and one of our favorites; down to our last bottle. Fruit, acid and a little sweetness. Just an excellent drinker.
