Just as good as most 98 Brunello I've had. Round, dark pruney /berry with earthy brett that did not effect the overall taste.

A CVed bother with no record! It’s still in excellent condition. Nice nose of autumnal leaves and ripe berries with good texture and finish. Yum.

Oh my! I bought this mature beauty 6 and a half years ago from JR and then I let it mature even more! I didn’t realize what I had laid down and I opened on spaghetti and meatball night. This wine is SPECTACULAR. I’ve never had a Sangiovese that was so beautifully integrated with floral, oak and mint and so many other flavors I can’t pinpoint. I usually find Sangiovese angular, hard and acidic. This wine is simply gorgeous. TY JR. You blew me away!

Fascinating old Sangio from E-R. Showed really well and was quite versatile with the Perla menu. In particular, this bottle had an affinity for the mostarda upon kobucha squash in the pork chop main. Excellent! Would buy retail
