Heritage Vines Sonoma County Zinfandel

Good every day wine. Reasonably priced and moderately complex. Easy, but interesting!

Best on Day 2

2012 vintage. Simple but characteristic. Smoky blueberries. 85% Zinfandel with 15% Petit Sirah.

Very nice Zinfandel with 14% petite Sirah and a dark Red color.

On the Nose, blackberries, blueberries, plums, sweet cherries and peppercorn.

Fruity palate with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, peppercorn and oak.
Great long finish with berries, white pepper and fresh and powerful tannins.
Aged for 19 months in American, French and Hungarian oak.

WE 90, RP 91, WS 92.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

I enjoyed this at the Havana Bar & Grill at The Pearl in Rosemary Beach. Nice nose and body. A bit acidic.

This is great wine. Very leggy and bold flavor.

Received great marks from WS. Perhaps didn’t live up to that hype, but an enjoyable glass of wine for the price.

Nose or chocolate, plum, and light spice. Very solid Zin and a joy to drink.
