Isobel Russian River Valley Chardonnay

Best wine of the night.

Golden hue. 6 years old. Arguably at its height. Tinge of green apple, salinity, long finish. The lack of minerality and color give it away as Californian but it has terrific balance and length and is arguably grand cru like.

Nose of minerals & lemon, refined but somewhat austere, possibly due to it' age, with good clean finish

2011 vintage. Golden hue. Started off a bit wound then got fleshier with pretty layers of fruit around a solid backbone of acidity. Terrific wine
