This CDP of Guigal is still a baby and needs a few more years to mature and open up, it has a crimson color, a complex aroma of black current, cedar wood, barnyard, earthiness, herbs and a touch of smoked turkey, full body with very dry tannins, firm and solid, needs time to open up, fresh supporting acidity and a long dry chewy finish. My score 89, score will improve with time, (Parker gave this one 94 points) drink 2017-2027

Delicious and just leaving that pouty adolescence that can be endearing as an adorable stage for we who make allowances for those brooding bright young things whose futures are bound for great heights. Loads to look forward to on this: garrigue and savory meat pan juices are only the beginning because it has ample chewy cherry fruit and a generous breadth of texture. Have to hand to Guigal -his are the touchstones for the Rhône appellations...sigh...
