Floral is what comes to mind immediately. Jasmine, Honeysuckle and orange blossom. Waxy mouthfeel and flavors of poached pear, apricot and toasted oak. More “woodiness” than I recall from past experience with the La Doriane. Seemed a bit clenched and reticent last night.

10/10/15 at Romo's. So fresh, focused and delicious. Honeysuckle, petrol, white peach. Preferred slightly over the '13 La Doriane.

Lovely viscosity and mouth feel. Less floral and more mineral content than generally seen in Condrieu. Very well made wine and nice food pairing with decent acidity, though showing high alcohol which dries the palate somewhat and is the major negative.

Superb! Layered unctuous and creamy. Yet, beautiful floral Viognier apricot/peach with bright mineral acidity. Yum!

A really nice wine but it didn’t wow me. Not sure if it’s over the hill.

Obtained from private celler. Initial dry and sharp taste. Off putting. Allowing to evolve improved, still sharp but better. Improved over time but still sharp but improved. Would drink again.

The nose on this is honeysuckle for the most part with a hint of tropical fruit. The entry is a little leaner than the 1997 consumed a little while back but still rather round. Lemon oil dialed down. I think these really take quite a while to come into their element, or maybe I just like drinking them more on the oxidated side? There is sort of an endearing musk and white wildflowers with honeysuckle to the finish. I think it's worth it to keep these for another 10 years drinking a couple each year to see how they evolve.

Much better than previous wine!!

Bring yellow color. Awesome nose filled with peach and vanilla. Also has some floral and herbal tones. Wine seems to be past peak. Dominated by vegetable and metallic elements. Some peach, but very tertiary. Butterscotch at the tail end , which further tells me this doesn’t have long left. Medium finish still.

I enjoyed cause it’s different, but not sure I’d try another bottle.
