2013 vintage. Blackberry, vanilla notes and a bit of pepper. Velvety finish. Solid Zinfandel. Great with pizza or on its own.

1 person found it helpfulJun 10th, 2017Excellent value this entry level Edmeades Zin. Nose has tangy cherry and blackberry, pine forest underbrush, and rocky minerals. Mouthfilling and flavorsome, but with much more of a savory and minerally profile than a typical Zin. Still, the rich fruit is there. Dry, a bit of tannin present too, with good acids. Says 15% but drinks like and old pre global warming 14%er.

Nov 25th, 2016Cooked/dried fruit, cherry, floral, slightly sweet upfront flavors, little pepper, higher acidity on finish, slight bitter finish, drinkable.

Apr 15th, 2020Nose of a classic zin - dark berry filled fresh baked scone.
A good solid zin. Not too hedonistic, more focused and less Jam.
Blackberry bramble, anise, astringent tannins. Hump day wine.
For those who love a good zin at a great price.
