An amazingly similar nose to a left bank Bordeaux meets Dolcetto. Perfume, red cherry. Dry, med (-) acidity, med body, med alcohol. Short finish. But a delightful walk-around wine. How is this not more popular?

Very nice red for September, known as the only decent Hungarian table wine. Personally I've loved it since I was in college (when it was all I could afford). Smells like mineral all the way; think slate. Tastes like black pepper and had a smooth, dry finish. The color is unremarkable *shrug* it's red. Pairs exceptionally with cold Bon Chon chicken! The meat heightens the austerity of the wine.

I usually prefer strong reds. For me, this was rather meek and didn't have much character. I wouldn't refuse to drink it again, but I would not seek it out.
