Dramatic ‘critter label’. Aged CA Zin that has held up to aging brilliantly. Opaque maroon with a ruby edge. Smells lovely. Fine Irish whiskey meets fruit-flavored, fancy licorice. Hint of rainy undergrowth in Eastern WA. Flavors match the coastal Zin complex and inspired nose. Berries in a jam, but some licorice and pumpkin spices too. This was an absolute steal for an intriguing and deep & well aged Russian River wine. Wish I could find some more at Grocery Outlet.
