This plays a well balanced role. Enough fruit intensity to appeal to New World drinkers and the hint of death and higher acid that might work for a Bordeaux aficionado.

Another excellent vintage produced by a solid and consistent producer. 90% Cabernet Franc with 10% Malbec blended in. Dark ruby red color with purple highlights. Concentrated aromas of crushed dark berries and currants with additional notes of violets and minerals. The vibrant palate features ripe black berry/currant/raspberry/plum flavors and hints of green and black pepper and fresh wild herbs. Nicely structured with lively freshness and vibrancy. Soft tannins. Intense, but all components are in harmony. Thanks for sharing, Chris B!

Good purity of dark fruits, nice acidity, noticeable wood influence, medium long finish.

What I want to see more of from Mendoza. Deep fruit forward and medium bodied. Lacking the funky nose you'd expect from a Cab Franc but spicy and rich on the tongue.

A near perfectly balanced Cab Franc from Mendoza, richly layered with notes of toasted oak, black fruit, cedar, hints of vanilla and violets with a finish of cassis and some smoke. Spectacular for the price

I don't get it. I find this unmemorable. Better open for a while, but one dimensional and uninteresting. I keep getting sucked in by these affordable S. American cab francs.
