Strong nose of petroleum, blackberries, black currants, earth, wood, bell pepper, asparagus, vegetables, forest floor, spices and peppercorn.
Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, bell pepper, oak, vinaigrette, green vegetables, alcohol, herbs, earth and black pepper.
Short finish with bitter herbs and spices.
This Chilean Cabernet is unbalanced, with a strong aftertaste that did not agree with me at all. Shows some complexity, and very earthy, with a nice mouthfeel.
Probably past its peak by now, which is a bit surprising. I had this vintage last year, and it was better.
Needed 3 hours to open up.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

I was really surprised. The bright fruit in this wine totally shocked me. Was simply not expecting it. A tid bit too earth on the nose for me - a little funky even - but all around, for the price and the overall experience, very much a win. Light body, bright bright young fresh fruits, easy to drink.

Nice ruby in color with a thin, purplish rim.
Earthy nose with blackberries, acetone, green vegetables, strawberries, oak, wet wool, coffee, dark chocolate, alcohol, forest floor and black pepper.
Medium to full bodied, and smooth, with a soft mouthfeel. Medium acidity and Long legs.
Dry and earthy on the palate with blueberries, cherries, strawberries, oak, leather, stones, dirt, pencil lead, mold(?), bitter vegetables, spices, almonds and peppercorn.
Medium finish with firm tannins and black pepper.
This is a very unique Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Good food wine but drinking well by itself, too. Nicely balanced and complex.
I paired it with beef stew and potatoes.
It did not need too long to open up, but after an hour in a decanter, it is much more earthy, with many vegetable notes on the palate. Made from all Organic grapes.
