Mock blind tasting notes: Burgundian, definitely, not silky like a cotes de Beaune, probably cotes de Nuits: Gevrey-Chambertin? WHAT??? California??? Get me more of this please! 13%abv.

Mar 17th, 2021This was quite good. It was initially a bit shy on the nose, but good fruit, and good balance. It was a bit lively, almost peppery at first. As it opened, the aroma improved, and the fruit dissipated a little. Didn’t have much length, but it was really enjoyable. Reminds me a bit of a really good Beaujolais. Thanks Chris!

Apr 16th, 2020Smells already heavier and more profound then the Heron. If the Heron is the Musigny this is the Gevrey. Just 13%! Morello cherry 🍒 👃 nose. Darker. A stunning wine! Man in a blind tasting I would think this is a Burgundy. Plenty of acids well balanced touch of bitter perhaps faint pine needles - very ambitious 👏. 💥 💥💥. I do not get the description on the winery website.
