Carbonic Grenache from the Northern Rhône. Talk about an internal personality conflict. But it’s a very nice wine to slug down with dinner. Hard cherry and kirsch fruit over some nice granitic minerals. Reminiscent of a nice Bojo. Lively in the mouth, and there, too, displaying a Bojo like character, but with a bit more peppery heat showing through in the back half of the palate.

I was expecting this to be weird (blend of Grenache and “white varieties” whatever that means) but it was clean, fruity, and had more tannins than I expected. (Still on the low end but they were there.)

This is a good example of why you should occasionally revisit things. I had this wine about 5 years ago and was underwhelmed. Found it much more interesting this time around.
