Still holding but nearing the decline. Good dried cherry and anise aromas. Flavors of pie cherry, cassis, and herbs with soft tannins. Round and full with nice acid and Bretty richness.

Nov 25th, 2015Thought we were having beef pot roast but it was pork; didn’t know that was a thing?! Oh well. Broke the cork so fine filtered. Ample fruit going a touch stewed but nice body and layers; black fruits and Asian spice/incense

Jan 28th, 2019Delightful “old-school” Napa cabernet with 17 years of age. The balance between oak, tannin and fruit is something contemporary Napa cabs have s hard time duplicating, just starting to lighten/brown around the edge, the aromas of anise, saddle leather and savory spice notes lift the nose. Medium body with elegance and finess. Glad I have a couple more.
