Faire la Fete
Crémant de Limoux Brut Sparkling White Blend
Limoux, Languedoc, Languedoc Roussillon, France

Pale lemon in color.
Nose of limes, grapefruits, citrus, yeast, bread, green apples, minerals and sea salt.
Medium bodied with medium plus sized bubbles and medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with citrus, limes, green apples, grapefruits, bread, yeast, bitter herbs, spices and earth.
Medium finish with bitter almonds.
This is a nice sparkling wine from the south of France. Easy drinking with food or without. Nicely balanced with nice acidity.
I paired it with 3 different Caviars, Whitefish, red Salmon and Lumpfish. Very tasty and interesting to compare.
Made in the traditional method.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
$17.

This is a delightful, if not a touch simple cremant. Apples...but they’re delicious apples. A fun quaffer.

Faire la Fête takes its cue from village of Limoux – “birthplace of bubbles” - where world’s longest running annual carnival celebration allows revelers to dance, sing, celebrate and enjoy an endless flow of sparkling wine. A blend of70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc & 10% Pinot Noir. Clean, light aromatic nose of citrus, stone fruits and yeasty notes. Palate, ripe apple and lemon flavors, slightly creamy texture, balanced by crisp acidity and fine bubbles on lingering citrusy finish.

Brioche, baked apple, pie crust, & baking spices. Excellent creaminess, acid, & finish. Rich across the board, but still quite delicate. Tasty & drinks well above its price point!

Solid #cremantdelimoux - orchard fruit, subtle citrus aromas. More weight on palate than typical in this price range, sturdy bubbles, not super dry so a touch more fruit. Good sparkler but I expected more given the hype on Somm TV for this wine.
