Big fruit forward Napa cab. Ripe dark fruit, on the edge of overpowering. Tannins are rounded and quite soft.

Once again the ‘16s are drinking really nice now. Ripe black fruit on the nose. Getting blackberries, black cherries, and even some blueberry on the finish. Tannins really soft and delicate now. All coming together really nice at this point.

Wow! Almost perfect. Maybe should have waited another year, but oh so good. Rich, complex, smooth.

Been over a year since my last bottle of the ‘16. Big black cherry and oak nose. Tannins softened up, almost silky. Ripe black cherry. Really drinking smooth now. Very enjoyable.

More figgy, plum and balsamic notes over black currant. Lacks the distinct anise I remember from last time. 20 year reunion

Earthy, black cherry, toasted oak, tobacco are prominent. Red fruit also. Ripe prominent fruit gives way to a still strong tannic structure. Decanted an hour. Very smooth yet complex. Tannins need more time to soften up a bit to enter its prime.

Notes of whirled earth and anise, complex, with a succulent in feel and oak prominence. Beautiful nose with strong black cherries perfume, and sharply delineated finish.
