A nice baby brunello, but less impressive than other rossos I have had from the producer. Maybe lacking a bit of the lift and elegance I expect from this bottling, even in such a warm vintage. Lavender and ripe red fruit. Finish is rich and, at times, a bit hot, even at 13.5%.

The wine is light crimson with watery rim. The aroma was a bit reticent with red fruit, lavender and spices. Quite full tannins and great acidity. I felt the usual silky texture wasn’t there. Maybe need to wait another year before it comes together.
