Ferraton Père & Fils
La Matinière Crozes-Hermitage Syrah
Slightly better than the 2012 but not quite as developed as the 2011 at this stage. Wonderful fruit aromas with dusty bacon fat and dry herbs.

Mar 5th, 2017My first try at a Syrah from the Northern Rhone and it really expresses "those" Rhone characteristics: dark fruit, dried violets and lavender, tobacco, cracked black pepper and smoked meat. Elegant on the nose and palate, it flirts with you, gorgeous.
