Apologies for the quality of the label. Tried to force a bottle in my fridge, and paid a heavy price.
Nose of spice box, molasses and licorice. Palette is balanced and precise. Presents blueberries, dill, white pepper and leather. Acidity is perfect. Tannins are not resolved, which creates a more upright structure. Still tight, with no signs of aging. Excellent

Clear, precise and mature black cherry, cassis and tobacco. Some camp fire notes, and some ripe pomegranite. Fine, firm tannins, good acidity. Plenty generous this is very enjoyable with food and on its own.

Deep dark purple color that drinks very youthful. Dark berry, plummy fruits, dried herbs & smoky volcanic ash that is balanced & complex.

Still tannic after all these years (the '99). Typical Aglianico but I only decanted for 30 minutes and this needed a lot more time. Or longer on the shelf. I have one more of these and about a half case of the '01 - I won't now open another bottle for at least 5 years.
