Excellent red, a Cabernet with bursting fruit appeal and ebbing tannins. This is not your average Cabernet.

Nice swill from Down Unda’ — affordable yet with some bite n spice n depth n character, eh, mate?

Remarkably good wine. Worth a try. Sweeter highlights with a well rounded body. Dry finish.

Only med body, soft with lots of tabacco and light spice with plum. Good balance.

Need to give this another go. Think it was too warm so it was a bit flat.

Easy to drink

The love affair with Australian Cab Sauv continues! Big, ripe flavors of baked black plums, black currant, kirsch, fig, graphite, cedar, dried basil, baked earth. Good structure, despite the ripeness. Really tasty and even better the next day!

Pencil shavings, vanilla abstract, and roasted nuts dominate the nose, with undertones of blackberry jam. Rich, seductive, dark fruits come forward on a juicy palate that transitions into a soft, almost creamy finish. A touch on the oaky side, but fits nicely as an after dinner type wine. Vintage 2012.
