Straw gold color. Wet stones, minerals and green apple on the nose. Apple, pear and stone fruit flavors with hints of slate and sour quince. Wine is a touch flabby/watery and it could use a bit more acidity. Reasonable but I prefer the single vineyard options from this producer.

The piece de resistance - Les Allies! I didn’t even write down notes for this one because we were too busy drinking it and having a great time. From what I recall, this had prominent honey overtones in the aroma and the taste. Strong acidity but not overtly tart, a nice long finish. Really beautiful wine but could be that we were several glasses deep already!
