Nice enough Barbera, opened with Matt's San Soufre. This wine was nice, not exceptional.

Sierra foothills barbera. Bright. Fresh. Juicy. Such a lovely expression of the grape.

Only 97 cases made of this 2013 Barbera from winemaker Matthew Rorick out in Cali. Small plot, unique grape bold winemaking and a taste to match. Tough to source but worth it. Especially for a long Amtrak ride.

Bi rite wine guy called this winemaker the best in CA. I might agree! Velvety, smooth, funky, and delish.

Slightly pepperly spicy. Good amount of tannin. Very nice.
