Lunch today with Mr. Forman himself. Big, but pretty, elegant, and herbaceous. Learned many things: The man likes to blow things up, he's bullish about Cab Franc and PV in his wines, and isn't shy about doing what he believes is right. I guess that's how you make great wine for 47 years.

Not over powerful on the dark fruit but very balanced for a Cabernet yet easy drinking and approachable. I would definitely give it s try and recommend it to friends to taste.

Blind would've called this a Pauillac, graphite and cigar box dominating. Another '07 Napa coming around but took 90 min decant. Licorice and black currant. Charred oak. Smoked meat. Awesome match for Wagyu steaks! This will get even better, for sure.
