La Encantada Vineyard Pinot Noir

Quite impressive!!!

Was hoping this wasn't styled like other old guard SRH styles, but it was pretty close. Just a little too fruit forward and heavy for my taste. Still a well made wine.

Get this Pinot. It’s awesome.

2013 vintage. Big smoke, chaparral and überripe plum in the nose. Light/medium body. Velveteen finish. Delish without being super-intense. More of a feminine-style Pinot.

I've been in a bit of a Pinot funk lately where I've had so much of it lately I started feeling burnt out. Then, I had Foxen's Pinot from the La Encantada Vineyard tonight & 😱. Awesome, awesome Pinot!

Paired this with pasta and slow cooked meatballs. Could use some more time but was very nice. Red fruit and cedar. Medium finish.

2013. Lean and complex. Burgundian in style with a lot of femininity. Red fruit driven, cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, red plum, herbal, limestone, vanilla extract.

The most Burgundian in style of Foxen's current lineup. Absolutely gorgeous.
