Jan 15th, 2015Nose: a little rose petal and sweet tobacco. Palate: Raspberry, tobacco, and licorice. Also, a little black pepper shows up after a while. A really wonderful wine. With Jessica Price; she rated it a 7.9: yikes!!

Mar 5th, 2016pretty nice, black plum, sour cherry, and subtle leathery texture is mixed with high acidity and a hint of red spice. Long finish with light body- definitely better with food than alone

Nov 16th, 2015Lovely dark fruit notes of sour cherries, plums, a bit of raisin, Calvados-like deep red candied apple, a tad of star anise/licorice, a bit of raspberry, subtle leather and tobacco, and a bit of wet earth and chalky gravel on the nose. On the palate, it's remarkably congruent with the nose in the best way, bringing all of that lovely nose to your taste buds, layered and well balanced with soft tannins. Great balance, lovely wine. My first 100% Nebbiolo, definitely looking forward to exploring more of that territory.
