Garnet, dark but clear. Bright acidity, a touch of bitterness, not really juicy, light clear tannins. Pretty good description on the label: the nose is more spice, tobacco, and maybe a hint of tomato leaves, while on the palate more berry and fruit come across, especially with the bright acid and clear mouthfeel. Pretty clean finish. The nose definitely out classes the finish on this one. I could probably get more for $14 on an Italian wine.

Smooth like leather, complex like a true Barbera. Small bite and enjoyable finish.

First experience with a Barbera. Very enjoyable fruit forward wine, but not too sweet. Great compliment to penne alla puttanesca with a salty pecorino.

Really good balanced barbera. Blue fruit flavors, with plum and leather notes. Also a bit of black pepper in there too. Overall a great value.

Mouthwatering sour-cherry, pepper, and spice with a smooth (almost chocolatey) finish. Was great with pepperoni pizza last night.
