The label may say this wine is 11 years old but the vibrant ruby color and abundant fruit showcase a wine that feels younger. Blackberry, black cherry, cassis, plum, graphite, and wet stone are framed by firm oak notes - cedar, cinnamon, clove and silky tannins giving the wine a lovely texture. The bright acidity and well integrated alcohol (14.5% abv) give a nice foundation to slowly emerging tertiary notes of leather, forest floor, and mushroom. This has a great future ahead.

Let this wine breathe! It is exquisite even before you let it breathe, but letting it breathe makes it 10x times better. The smell is enough to feel as though you already took a sip. Once it has breathed and you take the first sip, It immediately hits the tongue strongly, as it does back of the tongue. Extremely smooth going down. Leaves you with a bold taste on the middle and back of your tongue afterwards, but not strong enough going down to make it distasteful in the end.
