2011 vintage. Opened up quite nicely after a half hour in the bottle. Potpourri, red cherries, cigar box, dark bitter chocolate, blueberry (drier blueberry since we opened it) rosemary and blackberry juice on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with medium acidity and tannin, a bit more tart in fruit then the nose would suggest. Very much in the style of wine that Freemark Abbey does, and that's a compliment.

As far as Merlot's go this is among the best I have had - smooth from start to finish- yet pretty full bodied for a Merlot... Worth the money ....
